BP Falconry& Pest Control Ltd has various birds of prey that are used to control populations of nuisance birds such as feral pigeons and seagulls. Our well cared for birds are natural hunters that can be used to control avian pests with minimal environmental impact. The birds are used to reduce the local avian population and discourage nesting and roosting in the area. Feral pigeons can be trapped and/or culled under license but, unfortunately, this is not the case with the various species of seagulls – all of whom are protected.  Once they build nests, lay eggs and the chicks fledge your problem can escalate.  We can remove both nests and eggs, under license, before it gets to this stage.

Using falconry also allows us to access areas where bird-proofing would not be an appropriate option. This enables larger or more highly built-up areas (such as landfill sites, farmland, properties with significant acreage, crowded city centers) to be controlled than permanent or ground-based measures would allow and avoids access/practicality issues that might be encountered by our personnel!

In addition to the above, falconry might be used to deter nuisance birds away from an area while we carry out bird-proofing. Please see the ‘About Us’ page for more information surrounding the bird-proofing service that we also offer.
